I love photography. I wish I could boast that I'm a world class professional photographer published in all of the major magazines...but I'm not. In fact, the photographs I find the most interesting are those that often get sifted into the 'not so great' snapshot category. Candid photographs may not be as stunning and compelling at first glance as perhaps those that are featured in travel magazines, but they each have a story to tell nonetheless. Those are the photographs that inspire my art.

"A picture is worth a thousand words"

I see a story in every photograph. Sometimes the story is in nothing more than the light, or in the way branches hang from a tree, or in the slump of a person's shoulders. I combine various forms of physical media with photography to explore and further the story, but not necessarily complete it.
For as long as I can remember, the process of creating is what I truly enjoy, rather than creating with a specific medium. Over the years, I've experimented with many types of art from woodworking to drawing and painting to digital art and 3D modeling, and many others. I don't fit neatly into a specific category of 'artist' or even genre. My art follows my whims and though I do still spend time with paints and woodworking, the bulk of my creating happens in pixels these days, rather than sawdust.
